Standard trading terms for road transport and logistics services provided by Zicko Ltd.
Welcome to Zicko Ltd. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) set out the basis upon which we provide our road freight, courier, and logistics services. By requesting or accepting our services, you (“the Client”) agree to be bound by these Terms, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Zicko Ltd operates under standard road freight and logistics practices within the United Kingdom and Europe. We act as a carrier or agent depending on the nature of the service. All business is conducted with professionalism, transparency, and in accordance with applicable UK transport laws.
The Company provides domestic and international transport by road, courier deliveries, and logistics support. Zicko Ltd may subcontract carriage to reliable third-party hauliers, couriers, or agents, maintaining responsibility for service coordination and customer communication.
All quotations are based on information supplied by the Client. Pricing may change if actual cargo weight, size, or timing differs. Unless stated otherwise, all prices are quoted in GBP and exclude VAT. Quotations remain valid for 14 days from issue.
Bookings must be confirmed in writing (email or website form). Cancellation within 24 hours of the agreed collection time may result in a charge up to 100% of the transport cost. Cancellations made earlier may still incur an administration fee.
It is the Client’s duty to ensure that goods are securely packaged, clearly labeled, and ready for collection. Waiting time exceeding 30 minutes may be chargeable. While Zicko Ltd aims to meet delivery schedules precisely, delivery times are not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed in writing.
Zicko Ltd’s liability for loss or damage is limited to the lower of £1.30 per kilogram of gross weight or the replacement cost of the goods. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profit or business interruption. Clients may request enhanced insurance coverage in advance, subject to additional cost.
Any hazardous, dangerous, or restricted materials must be declared and approved before transport. The Client is responsible for ensuring compliance with ADR and any other relevant national or international safety regulations.
Invoices must be paid within 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise agreed. Zicko Ltd reserves the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
The Company will not be held liable for delays or non-performance due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, road closures, vehicle breakdowns, strikes, or other unforeseen events.
Claims for loss or damage must be made in writing within 7 days of delivery (or expected delivery). Claims submitted outside this period cannot be considered. The Company reserves the right to request evidence, such as photos, consignment notes, or value proof.
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. All disputes shall be handled exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.
